Communities are at the heart of everything we do.
So, naturally, it's where we choose to give back.

It was wonderful to be a part of the @bgcottawa breakfast last week! We were inspired by the words of Fahd Alhattab and enjoyed spending the morning with everyone! #ottawa #boysandgirlsclub

Today marks the opening of a new exhibition at The Ottawa Sport Hall of Fame celebrating 45 years of the Ottawa Marathon. @tamarackhomes is proud to be a sponsor of this fantastic community event every year. It was an honour to be present at the opening of the exhibition today and to give our thanks to our good friend and long time Race Director for the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend, John Halvorsen. #tamarackottawaraceweekend #runottawa #community #getactive #45yearsandrunning

The Taggart Parkes Foundation has partnered with the Ottawa Food Bank over the past few years to provide new cold storage units to local food banks. These units will ensure that more fresh and healthy food like milk, eggs, fruit, vegetables, frozen fish and meat can be distributed to people in Ottawa who struggle to afford these items on their own. #community #ottawafoodbank #givingback

This past weekend, we had the pleasure of being joined by members of the Boys and Girls Club to watch the Ottawa Senators take on the Maple Leafs at Canadian Tire Centre. The relationship between the Boys and Girls Clubs of Ottawa and the Taggart Parkes Foundation has been established over many years of support and cooperation. Investing in and supporting youth in our communities has always been a central focus for us! #ottawasens #community #givingback

The Taggart Group of Companies is working with @humansofyouville through their mentorship program to help young mothers explore career paths in the construction industry. The Youville Centre, located in Ottawa, is a non-profit organization that serves adolescent mothers and their children by providing academic, occupational, and parenting support. Through this partnership, we hope to inspire and empower young women who are interested in the work we do to pursue a successful and rewarding career in the construction industry. #careers #community #construction #ottawa

We are proud to support organizations that make a difference in our community! The Taggart Parkes Foundation has partnered with the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation for more than a decade! In 2018, our donation helped create this sunny and spacious lounge in the Acute Care of the Elderly unit at the @teamqch. Having this space to be mobile, active, and social is a critical part of helping individuals heal and maintain the level of function they need to return home. #community #taggartparkesfoundation #queenswaycarletonhospital

The cold weather means it is time to get out and enjoy winter sports! This community rink in Tamarack's Cardinal Creek Village is maintained by volunteers and is now open for community use. Getting outside and getting active is a great way to enjoy your community! #community #getactive #getoutside #orleans

Women supporting women. This is a key part of building functional communities and something that is promoted and encouraged every day at the Centre Espoir Sophie. Last month, we had the honour of participating in Le Salon de Thé, an event hosted by and in support of the Centre Espoir Sophie. One of the things that sets the Centre Espoir Sophie apart is that it offers support in both French and English to women struggling with mental and physical health, poverty, lack of housing, and other difficult circumstances. We are happy to be able to support an organization that plays such an important role in the lives of women in our community. #womensupportingwomen

Last week, @tamarackhomes hosted a Community Holiday Party at our model home in Findlay Creek Village. In the spirit of the season, staff invited the community to come together and enjoy delicious treats and fun activities including decorating gingerbread houses, creating special holiday cards, and even meeting Santa. Bringing people together, building a sense of community, and making memories are so important to us! #community #memories #holidays
